At your cost-free appointment, we provide:
-
Pregnancy Testing & Confirmation
We can determine how far along you are and if the pregnancy is viable. You can also talk to a nurse about your medical history, learn more about the side-effects of the abortion pill and surgical abortions. An ultrasound is needed to determine which options are available to you.
-
Consultations on Abortions and Your Options by Trimester
Learn more about the abortion pill, abortion procedures, other pregnancy options, what to expect during an abortion, abortion recovery, and more.
-
STD Testing Referrals and Information
We provide referrals for STD testing. A sexually transmitted infection should be ruled out prior to an abortion to reduce your risk of infection or complications.
What You Need to Know
A medication abortion (the abortion pill) is only an option if taken up to 70 days after your last menstrual period. The type and cost of surgical abortions available to you depend on multiple factors including how far along you are. An ultrasound can determine viability and give you the information you need to plan your next steps.
The Abortion Pill
Early Abortions | First Trimester
A medication abortion (the abortion pill) is FDA-approved up to 70 days after your last menstrual period. The abortion pill is actually five pills and is taken in two separate doses.
If you are considering a medication abortion, we can confirm your pregnancy and provide answers on the abortion pill and all your pregnancy options.
Abortion Procedures
Aspiration Abortion
If a woman is 10 or more weeks into her pregnancy and is not eligible for the abortion pill, or in the event of a medication abortion failure, an aspiration (vacuum) abortion is typically performed.
D&C and D&E Abortions
These types of surgical abortions are typically performed at 15 weeks or after. Contact us to learn more about risks and procedure information.
