What You Need to Know

A medication abortion (the abortion pill) is only an option if taken up to 70 days after your last menstrual period. The type and cost of surgical abortions depend on multiple factors, including how far along you are and if there are any pregnancy complications. An ultrasound is needed to determine the viability and length of pregnancy.

Aspiration Abortion

If a woman is 10 or more weeks into her pregnancy and is not eligible for the abortion pill, or in the event of a medication abortion failure, an aspiration (vacuum) abortion is typically performed.

D&C and D&E Abortions

These types of surgical abortions are typically performed at 15 weeks or after. Contact us to learn more about risks and procedure information.
